Let's Play Portal 2 Co-Op

So I've not been very active on the internet lately, and that's mainly down to me not knowing what to film or being unmotivated to actually do anything in general.

But this weekend my bearded man-friend, Aaron, and I started playing through the Co-Op of Portal 2.  I'm a bit rusty on some of the puzzles, but Aaron's never even picked up a Portal gun before, so this was a whole new experience and I threw him right into the deep end.

For his first time playing and also being in front of the camera he picked it up really quickly - what a smart cookie.  We're planning on going through all the different test chambers in a sort of mini-series, so make sure you stick around for that!

Apologies for the sound on this, next time I'll rig up a separate microphone to record our audio but hopefully it's still listen-able.

Hope you enjoy!

Happy New Year

Second (technically) week of 2015 and I'm here to welcome you all with another (unscripted) rambles video!

I had a really good Christmas break, and I'm really glad to be back in Bath - I've got positive vibes for this year (personal, uni and youtube life)!

I tell you all about my ideas for the channel and where I want to take my content, hope you enjoy!

Game Review: BioShock Infinite

I seem to have a very round face in this thumbnail, and I have no idea why, but anyway.

Here's my review for Irrational Game's BioShock Infinite.  I've tried to be as vague as possible on purpose because I don't want to spoil the plot for anyone because you should all play this game if you haven't already!

It was really nice finally getting the chance to play and complete a game for the first time in a long time, and I'm glad I was encouraged to play this game because I feel so satisfied now I've completed it!  It's one of those games that made me feel excited to play it, rather than stressed or anxious to complete it.  I would recommend it to anyone who plays videogames of any genre because it's got a little bit of everything.

I am definitely going to purchase the DLC and the first two games now.

Gaming Tag!

A couple of days ago, Lee and I did the "videogame tag" despite not actually being tagged by anyone...
So here we go!  We rambled on for about 44 minutes but I managed to get it down to a viewable and manageable 13 minutes - thank god!

The Sims 4 Review

So, below is my The Sims 4 Review where I totally mess up with the keying of the background... Excuse that.  This video turned out way longer than I was expecting but please give it a watch and let me know what you think!

Female Representations in Videogames

So, for my first year of University, one of my projects was to create a piece of 'Craftivism' - something that we felt was important and why it was important.  I chose to do a piece on the gender representation in videogames, and later honed it in to only female representation.

Below is my three-part video series (nicely bundled into a YouTube playlist, might I add) and I explain what I wrote about representation and how I presented my final piece.  For this, I recieved two grades - one for the process (a sketchbook) and one for the final piece, I received two firsts at 80% each.

Doing this project has made me realise that studying videogames is how I want to channel my degree, and it is even something I want to go into as a career.  The whole-career-in-videogames thing to me, though, is a bit daunting as I'm not too sure what I'd be able to bring to the table, other than my research and organisational skills.  I can't draw and I definitely can't code (yet) so what is there for me in that field?  Time will tell, I suppose.
